1. Who is responsible
Keep the Foods You Love LLC runs this site. Questions about privacy go to keepthefoodsyoulove@gmail.com.
2. What this site collects by itself
The sales page has no account and no comment box. You can read all of it without telling us anything.
It has two forms: the free three-recipe sample, and the waitlist for Mealfix, an app we are preparing. If you use either, we keep the first name, last name and email address you type, whether you ticked the box to get more recipes by email, which of the two you asked for, and where your visit came from. This is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the site. If you joined the waitlist we email you when Mealfix opens. Otherwise we email you only if you ticked that box. You can ask to be removed at any time by writing to keepthefoodsyoulove@gmail.com.
The site also keeps its own anonymous count of visits, of checkouts opened and of purchases, with the city and country the visit came from and the site that referred it. It includes the kind of device and a random number kept in your browser, which tells us that two visits came from the same browser and nothing else about you. No name, email address or IP address is stored with that count.
Like most websites, the company that hosts these pages may keep standard technical logs, such as the time of a visit and the type of browser.
3. When you buy
Checkout happens on a page run by Whop, which sells the book to you as the merchant of record. Your card details are entered there, not on this site, and their privacy policy covers how they handle them.
After a purchase, they pass us what we need to deliver the book and keep records of the sale. That usually means your name, your email address, what you bought and when.
4. When you email us
If you write to keepthefoodsyoulove@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you.
5. Analytics and advertising tools
This site notes how you arrived (for example, the site or ad that linked here) and which button you used. It keeps that in your browser for the length of your visit and passes it to checkout with your order, so we can see which links lead to sales. It does not identify you.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see how the page is used: which pages and sections are viewed, which buttons are clicked, roughly where visitors are and what kind of device they use. When an order is completed on this site, Google Analytics also receives the order's receipt number, its amount and what was bought, but not your name, email address or card details. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another. You can block it with your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how the page is used: where people click and scroll, shown as click maps and as replays of visits. Clarity sets cookies, and Microsoft receives this usage data; text you type into forms is masked. How Microsoft handles it is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Whop, which runs our checkout, also counts visits to this site with its own tracking script: it receives the pages you view and, if you start an order, links that visit to the details you enter at checkout. How Whop handles this is described in the Whop Privacy Policy.
We use the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta that a page of this site was viewed and when a visitor opens the checkout, asks for the free sample or completes an order; for an order it also receives the receipt number, the amount and what was bought. It does not receive your name, email address or card details from us. Meta sets cookies and may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account, and we may use it to measure our ads and to show them to people who visited this site. How Meta handles it is described in the Meta Privacy Policy, and you can change what ads you see in your Facebook ad settings.
6. What we use it for
- To deliver the book you bought.
- To answer your questions and handle refund requests.
- To keep the sales records a business has to keep.
7. Who else sees it
The service providers named on this page see the information they need to do their part: the checkout provider, the host, our email service and any tools listed in section 5. We may also have to share information when the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep sales records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep emails you send us for as long as it takes to answer you and handle any follow-up, and then delete them.
9. Your choices
You can write to keepthefoodsyoulove@gmail.com to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. We will tell you what we can do and whether there is anything we have to keep, such as sales records.
10. Changes to this page
If this page changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
